MX0NCA DXSpider Cluster Node

Welcome to the MX0NCA-2 Cluster Node operated by the Norfolk Coast Amateur Radio Society (NCARS)

MX0NCA-2 provides both normal and RBN (Reverse Beacon Network) spots.

This is a filtered node optimized for UK and Western Europe. Therefore, the node only serves spots where the SPOTTER is in CQ Zones 14, 15, 16, 20 or 33 ie Western Europe/North West Africa. In addition, spots for FT4 and FT8 signals are removed from the normal spot stream.

To get FT8 and FT4 spots you MUST turn on the RBN connection (see below). You will then get both “normal” and RBN spots at the same time.

The connection details are:

Node: MX0NCA-2
Address: dxc.mx0nca.uk
Port: 7373

To turn on all RBN spots send the telnet command set/skimmer
To turn off all RBN spots send the telnet command unset/skimmer

You can select specific skimmer modes eg use:

set/skimmer CW – will turn on only CW skimmer spots
set/skimmer RTTY – will turn on only RTTY skimmer spots
set/skimmer FT8 – will turn on FT8 and FT4 skimmer spots

Note that RBN skimmer spots are also filtered; you will see RBN spots where the SPOTTER is in CQ Zones 14,15,16,20 or 33

A really useful command is 'set/seeme'. This command bypasses all filters for the logged-in callsign. You will see each and every worldwide skimmer spot for your call highlighted with **SEEME** in the comment field. This is really useful for instantly seeing where you are getting out to. Note that N1MM usually colours this line red when viewed in the telnet window.
